今回の＃３では波の中に浮かぶ船部分を黄色に染める工程を紹介していきます。
In this article #3, the process of dyeing the part of the ship floating in the waves is explained.
生地を染める前にも念入りに打ち合わせを行い、染める色を何度もしっかりと確認します。
今回は船部分、黄色での染色です。
Carefully discuss even before dyeing the fabric and check the color many times.
This time, ship parts are dyed in yellow.
完璧に仕上がった染料で生地を染めていきます。今回の生地は防染部分が広いため、生地を染料に漬けても生地が浮き上がってきます。生地を均等に染めていく為、2人がかりで染色していきます。約70℃ほどの染料で染めるので、ゴム手袋をつけていても熱熱（アツアツ）です。染色中、横にある水の入った染め窯で、ゴム手袋の熱を冷まします。秒単位、分単位の作業です。素早い動きで染色します。
The fabric is dyed with perfectly mixed dye. This time, the fabric has a wide area to resist dyeing, so it will float on the surface of the dye. To dye the fabric evenly, two people work together. Since the fabric is dyed with a dye of 70 degrees centigrade, it is very very hot even if you wear thick rubber gloves. During dyeing, cool the heat of the rubber gloves in the vat with cold water prepared on the side. Quick movement is required.
何度も何度も染めて、徐々に色見本通りの色に近づけていきます。
The fabric is dyed over and over again and gradually approach the color to the color sample.
動画の中でも生地の色が徐々に濃くなっていくのが確認できます。

できる限り色見本通りの色に近づけるのが職人のプライド。納得いくまで何度も何度も染色、色確認を行います。
It is the craftsman's pride to make the color of the fabric as close as possible to the color of the color sample. Dye and check the color many times until the fabric is dyed to a satisfactory color.
染色が終わると生地の水洗、脱水を行い、干し場にて生地を乾燥し、染色工程はひとまず終了です。
After dyeing, the fabric is rinsed with water, dehydrated, and dried in a drying room, and the dyeing process is completed for the time being.
生地の一部分を染めるだけでも大変な作業！ということがお分かりいただけたでしょうか？
